Stolen Bike, new Etnies, Animal stem

Tony Long's bike was stolen from the back of his truck at the Taunton skatepark on Wednesday night... If anyone knows anything about it or sees any suspicious bike parts being sold cheap, please let me know... I'm sure Tony is willing to compensate anyone who helps get it back or find out who did it... There are pictures of the bike and a list of everything that was on it here.

In other news, we finally, FINALLY got in all of our new Etnies shoes... a whole bunch of 'em... better late than never... in the picture below, in the back row from left to right are the "Tribune", the "Rooftop 3", the "Vul-Cut", and in the front row left to right are the three different "Roscoe" shoes, and the "Arto"... NOTE: our order was a little messed up and we got no size 13 Roscoes... I'm going to try to straighten in out today though... I'll post it here when we get them in... Anyways, those reddish looking Roscoes are looking pretty sweet if you ask me... if you want to see better pictures of these shoes, click on the "blog archive" link on the left of the screen and go to the January 28, 2005 post...

Last but not least we got in the new Animal front load stems... USA made, light, normal looking... what more could a guy ask for? See ya...

above: just a few pairs of shoes...

lots of new stuff

Sorry for the lack of updates everyone, I was up at Sugarloaf in Maine doing a little snowboarding... and speaking of snowboarding, we finally got in a couple of boards... February is kind of late in the season to be ordering snowboards, so we were only able to get a couple of Santa Cruz "Massacre" boards... a good freestyle board for a beginner or someone who is looking for a board to beat the crap out of... these boards have a fairly forgiving flex and oversize edges, and we got 'em in 152 or 157... we've got a bunch of boards and bindings from Santa Cruz coming in sometime in August of September, and hopefully some other snow stuff as well... check out the Santa Cruz website to see this season's boards, or come by and see what we'll be getting next season...

Got some other stuff from Santa Cruz and Independent... a Santa Cruz Powerply Signature skate deck (7.7" x 31.4"), some SC and Indy tees, longsleeves, beanies, visor beanies, stickers, and belt buckles...

As far as new BMX stuff goes, we got in the Odyssey "Vermont" sprockets in 28 and 33 tooth (liiight), new FBM and Metal tees, and new Fit gloves...

Back in stock? Fly "Pantera" forks in black, DK "Step Up" completes in black, red and tan, Fly brakes in bronze, Coalition seat posts, Shadow slim seats, Alliance half-links, FBM's 10 year anniversary DVD, all Odyssey rims back in stock including 7KA's and Duralectra's, Odyssey Gyro XL's and G3's, Nokon cables in black and chrome and at a new lower price, Tree sprockets in 28 and 33 tooth, more 2005 Odyssey Hazzard cassette hubs, Metal bars in black and pink, S&M Slam and Medium bars, Metal Light sprockets in 28 and 30 tooth, and... and... and I think that's it... for now anyways...

happy v-day

Not much going on, but here's what we have coming back in stock this week: Odyssey "Vermont" sprockets in 28 and 30 tooth, Fly brakes in bronze, Coalition seatposts, Shadow Conspiracy slim seats, Terrible One "American Flyer" sprockets in 28 tooth, T1 "You Get what you Get" DVDs, new FBM tees, Alliance half-links, FBM 10 year DVDs, black and chrome Nokon cables, Tree sprockets in 28 and 33 tooth, and 2005 Odyssey cassette hubs in 36 hole.

All our new Etnies, including the Roscoes, will be shipping to us sometime between now and the last day of the month... hopefully sooner than later, I'll keep you updated...

For those of you looking for the Fly Euro to Spanish BB converters, I heard today that they discontinued them because all the Fly frames are going to just be Spanish BB's from now on... I wish that was the case with every frame, personally...

That's all for today...

Ruben shoes, Skater's Edge, Joe Kid on a Stingray

There's a movie coming out, for those of you who don't know, called "Joe Kid on a Stingray", which looks kind of like a dogtown-and-z-boys-type look at BMX... produced by Mark Eaton of Plywood Hoods/Dorkin' in York fame and Jesse James of West Coast Choppers, the movie has already premiered at a couple of film festivals, and the world premiere is in Hollywood on March 19... which means you should be able to check it out relatively soon... you can check out the trailer here, but be careful, it's 24mb... if you have dial-up you could be sitting around all day waiting for it to download...

In other news, you've probably all heard that Skater's Edge in Taunton, MA is expanding... the Sean Burns/Shajn Raines Connection popped in today and told me the guys that built Skater's Island were designing and building the new ramps, including some huge bowl/capsule type thing... there is a pic up on 495bmx.com of some of the construction... check it out, it's a good site anyway...

And lastly, below is a picture of the new Etnies Ruben shoe, the "Terranea", that we will have in stock in early June... the brown one pictured actually won't be out until July, but the Black and the Olive ones will be in June. The weird ankle gaurd attachment isn't shown in the picture, but most of you probably won't use that anyway...

That's all for today, folks!

Santa Cruz Snowboards, Nokon cables, shoe updates

Well, the big news around here is that we are now a Santa Cruz Snowboards dealer... where it's kind of late in the season, we'll probably only be bringing in a couple of boards, but we plan on doing a lot more next season... I was at the NEWSR ski and snowboard show in Providence on Tuesday and got to check out all the 2005-2006 SC boards and bindings, and it all looks pretty sick... I know a lot of you guys, like myself, are into snowboarding, too... I have a catalog here at the shop if anyone is interested in checking it out... or check out theSanta Cruz website for more info... only this season's stuff is on there right now, though...

I also got to check out the new Ruben "Terranea" shoe from Etnies on Tuesday... we got some coming in but not until June... they look pretty sweet, I'm not sure about the removeable ankle guard, though... I'll see if I can get a picture of it for you guys if you haven't already seen it...

The Taj "Roscoe" shoe should be in any day now, as well... in fact, it should have already been here... I'll keep you posted...

New in the shop are Nokon brake cables in blue and red... they are also available in black or chrome for five bucks less... incidentally, the price went down about ten bucks on these things, still pricey buy very worth the money in my opinion... the casing is made up of a bunch of little aluminum barrels, so it is completely compressionless... you can twist it all over the place and your brakes won't bind up, they're super durable, smooth as silk, and they look pretty cool, too...

Odyssey Gyro GTX-R aluminum gyros back in stock today, as well... that's all for now...

stuff

Yay Pats, ayyy?

Not much going on, I finally put up some pictures on the photos page... all just pics of the shop for now, but I'm going to be scanning some riding pictures I have later in the week, maybe some non-riding ones as well... hopefully I will add some new ones after that...

I also put up a Tony Long bike check just for the heck of it... I see a lot of people geeking over his bike, I figured why not?

New S&M pedals, colored Nokon cables, Fit gloves, and new FBM tee shirts soon...

Shook DVD, eBays

Went up to Mount Grass, uhhhh I mean Mount Snow in Vermont yesterday to do a little snowboarding... I bet there's still more snow in your driveway than there is on some of the trails up there... hahah oh well, what can you do? It was still a good time...

Anyway, we got in the new Shook DVD called "The Great Eviction"... from what I gather, Aaron Bostrom, Nick Toncheft, Joe Neudenbach, and Chad Shackleford all got evicted from their house in OH and took a trip to the west coast, the result of which is this DVD... there is other people besides those four in it as well... I'm going to have to watch this one, I remember the last Shook DVD was pretty good... by the way, I watched the new Federal "Trafaelio" DVD the other day, it's really good. Corey Martinez is nuts...

Updated the "sale/specials" page today, there's a bunch of good stuff on there including frames for as much as $120 off... click on the link on the left to check it out...

got another frame on ebay, check it out... also still got a bunch of shoes on there, some of 'em are ending tomorrow... click the links below for those...
