THANK YOU!
Just wanted to say "thank you" to everybody for another great year... 2012 was pretty nuts for us with the shop moving, and we appreciate all the support and well wishes from everyone! We would be nothing without you guys, so THANKS! We're looking forward to 2013, it's going to be awesome!
Also please note that we are closing at 6PM tonight, and we will be closed tomorrow for New Year's Day... Happy New Year!

Just got this bad boy in the shop, Giant's 2013 Trance X3! Five inches of travel thanks to Giant's always-active Maestro suspension, with a RockShox XC32 coil sprung fork (with lockout) and a Giant Air-R rear shock... conquer any trail with ease!
A press-fit BB and oversized/tapered headtube provide the stiffness you need, double-wall Giant S-XC2 wheels with sealed hubs for long life and durability, and a set of Schwalbe Nobby Nic tires provide excellent grip!
And in case you want to stop, a set of Shimano M395 hydraulic disc brakes with a 180mm front rotor (160mm rear) are up to the task!

SURLY KARATE MONKEY
Pretty psyched to have Surly's 2013 "Karate Monkey" in the shop! The Karate Monkey features a 4130 chromoly steel frame, horizontal dropouts with an integrated derailleur hanger in case you want to add gears (ships as a 33 X 17 singlespeed), a 4130 chromoly fork which is suspension corrected for 80mm, Avid BB7 disc brakes, and enough clearance for tires much larger than the stock WTB 2.3" Exiwolfs. 2013 GIANT CYPRESS W/SEDONA W
Got in some 2013 Giant women's comfort bikes... the Cypress W (top) and Sedona W (bottom)... the Cypress W has a narrower, larger diameter wheel that is more suited to on-road riding, while the Sedona W can tackle dirt roads and light off road rides... both bikes put the rider in a comfortable, upright riding position, which means no neck or back strain! NANTUCKET BIKE BASKETS
We have been carrying a selection of Nantucket Bike Baskets for a while now, but new for us is the "Cisco" pet carrier... we have had some requests for these, so here you go! SHOP MOVE UPDATE

We've finally got keys to the place, and we have started working in there a little bit... we've got a lot of work ahead of us, I would say that I'd be pretty psyched if we were in there by May 1. WE ARE MOVING!
DICK MAUL’S BIKE SHOP IS MOVING!
After 23 years in the same spot on Elm Street, the time has come for us to begin our next chapter. There are many reasons for the move, but the most important is this: it is our goal to be the best bike shop for you, our loyal friends and customers, and we believe that this move is the next step in making that happen.
We hope to make the move as quickly as possible with minimal disruption, and it should take place sometime within the next month. We will still be in Halifax, only about four miles from our current location. We’ll keep you posted on our progress, in the meantime feel free to come visit us in our current location.
